Our Process
To renovate your home is a big decision. There are many unknowns and it can be a complicated undertaking. It is our goal to simplify this and help our clients in discovering a creative solution together, to make your dreams become a reality. To meet this goal, we focus on collaboration and communication. We guide you through every step of the renovation process - from discussing your ideas and finalizing the design, all the way to the completed project. Having as much information as possible early in the process, helps you know what to expect.
We strive to plan every aspect of the project before any work begins in order to minimize the time you spend in a construction zone. Our process:
Initial Consultation - Discuss project scope and goals and collect all measurements required in order to create a Project Estimate.
Design Consultation - We work with 3rd party designers of your choice.
Final Prep - Once all materials have been chosen, we finalize the estimate and obtain necessary Permits.
Work Phase - Watch as your dreams become a reality!
Renovation Tips
Remodeling can be extremely exciting and a very stressful event all in the same day. The best advice I can give is to not rush decisions early on, and take your time with material choices and design. A few extra days, weeks, or even months of planning will be worth the years of enjoyment you will have, when the project is complete. There will always be issues along the way, especially with older homes, so be prepared for the unexpected, and plan on the project taking longer than expected. Be prepared for living in a construction zone. This means walls of plastic, with flooring covered from the front door to the work area. While we constantly strive to maintain a clean work area , there will be dust, no matter how many precautions we take. Leaving all of the adjacent doors closed to the work zone will help minimize this concern. The more you mentally prepare before demo day begins, the happier you will be watching your vision come to reality.
